Minnesota went to “no excuse” absentee voting in 2014. This means that any eligible voter can vote prior during the absentee voting period which begins 46 days prior to the election. Absentee voting is not mail voting. Yes, you can vote absentee by mail, but as previously discussed, actual mail ballot voting is very different, and it is an important distinction.
