We Scare a success

Members of the ECHS Honor Society gathered over 700 pounds of food for the food shelf on Halloween.

On Halloween, members of the East Central National Honor Society went trick-or-treating in Askov, Sandstone, and FCI staff housing. Instead of asking for candy, individuals were asked if they were willing to donate any non-perishable food items that would be donated to the local food shelf. This was a great opportunity for the National Honor Society members to be active in the community, and provide for a need. We had an impressive turnout and some very supportive community members. In two hours, members collected 776 pounds of food.  We look forward to participating in WeScare for Hunger again next year. If your house was not visited, please feel free to take your donations to your local food shelf.
