Eagle gets a lift from Pine County deputy

On Saturday afternoon the Pine County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an injured eagle on Highway 48 east of Hinckley for an eagle that may have been hit by a car.  The first photo is a still shot from the deputy’s body camera as he picked up this majestic bird from the roadside.  The second photo is the same eagle on the way to Osprey Wilds east of Sandstone.  The sheriff’s office was told that the eagle eventually was brought to the Raptor Center.  “Here’s to a speedy recovery for our feathered friend,”  the Pine County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.
