Grants, waived co-pays and free COVID-19 vaccinations were just a few of the items presented by Pine County Veterans Service Officer Mindy Sandell at the monthly meeting.
Pine County commissioners have passed a resolution supporting the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, but have stopped short – for now – from declaring Pine County a “Second Amendment sanctuary.”
Prom and sporting events will happen this spring, but with a pandemic twist.
The East Central School Resource Officer enjoys getting to know students of all ages in the school. Some days the SRO chaperones school events, while other days he educates students on the realities of life if they begin to stray towards undesirable behavior.

The Dragon boys basketball squad had a lot to be proud of this past season, ending with a varsity record of 13-5 (11-2 in conference), their fourth conference title in a row, and having earned a home playoff game for the sixth time in the last seven years.
