On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, Antoinette Williamson, loving mother and wife, passed away at her home in Sandstone.
Born Feb. 22, 1959, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Antoinette Moss was nine months old when she and three siblings were adopted by relatives and moved to South Minneapolis where she was raised. One week after graduating from Central High School, Toni, as she came to be called, married sweetheart Glen Williamson on June 18, 1977, and began a family.
Toni completed training as a secretary and quickly climbed in position at Wells Fargo. After receiving regional status, she joined her husband in further expanding their at home business.
Naturally gifted and passionate, Toni was a skilled artist and amazing singer. Her vibrant personality, keen wit and infectious smile made her a favorite among family, friends, and in the communities where she volunteered. She also enjoyed traveling, cultures and cuisine, both locally and abroad, which she wrote about in her column Duxbury News.
Preceded in death by her adopted parents Eunice and Ethel Wickhem, Toni joins her birth mother and several siblings. Survived by husband, Glenford H.; daughter, Twanika (Jamison); son, Glenford H. Jr.; and six grandchildren. Remembered for her laughter and grace, her presence is dearly missed.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at Methven Funeral and Cremation Services located at 114 5th St., Sandstone, MN 55072. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Dinner and refreshments to follow.
